It's so nice to see the Starwood remembered. I used to go every week, back in the 1970s. Ringo Starr hung out there, as did Buddy Miles and a bunch of other folk. It was a very happening place long before it became a punk establishment.

I mention it from time to time and have found people in Chicago and even Tucson who remember good times there.
