I saw a bunch of great shows at The Stone! Does anyone know what the capacity was for The Stone? I've been reminiscing about The Stone recently w/ a few people & non of us can agree on how many people The Stone could hold. I'm hoping someone can help!
I loved the Stone. Saw so many great bands and shows in the 80's and Early 1990's. Some of the most memorable were Cheap Trick in 1988 right after Tom Peterson re-joined the band, Kiss in 1992, and I also saw the final show ever in 1993 - Winger(It was great). Today's kids just don't know what they are missing.
Let us not forget the huge impact The Stone had on the Bay Area Thrash scene. Bands like Metallica, Testament, Forbidden, Vio-lence, Exodus, and every other metal and punk band worth listening to. There was Primus too but they suck. After The Stone closed the whole scene just wasn't the same.
