Awesome venue
One thing about the Old Waldorf was you could reserve a dinner seat. This would give you a seat up close to the stage. We never missed 'The Tubes' when they played here. Fee and The Tubes put on great performances at the Old Waldorf. Awesome memories of this cool venue.

Sweet Memories
I saw my first show ever there in 80 or 81, the Psychedelic Furs touring on their first album. I was about 14 and got in free from listening to KUSF. I was sat on the little stage and Richard Butler nearly hit me in the head swing one of the floor lights around. Later I saw the Ventures there, Girlschool, and some other bands I don't remember. Oh! Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five touring on The Message. Everyone there was a white clubby New Waver. Not the best venue, it was more set up for cabaret style performances than rock shows. Like the Mab your shins would get crushed against the edge of the stage.

The best show I ever saw
I saw my favorite show of all time at the old waldorf. Tim Curry. It was amazing!
