The Boston Tea Party

Former Location - The Tea Party was opened in January 1967 as a psychedelic club. In the years that it was open, most major English bands played their early American gigs here.

Many famous artists performed here during its short existence, including The Who, Sly and the Family Stone, The Grateful Dead, Neil Young, The Allman Brothers Band, Frank Zappa, Ten Years After, Pink Floyd, Cream, Joe Cocker, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Santana.

The venue closed its doors in 1971. As a smaller club, the increasing popularity of arena rock concerts did them in.
