Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but the annex to the Cleveland based Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum lasted only a year.
The SoHo based museum fell victim to the economy and a down year for New York tourism. The $26.50 entry fee was more then what is charged at the original museum in Cleveland, that didn't help either.
