Many rock bands of the '60's played here including Randy Meisner, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Kaleidoscope and Clearlight.

For years The Firesign Theater broadcast their half-hour long live radio show from here.

Previously, this location was home to The Cinnamon Cinder, a teenage nightclub run by Bob Eubanks who produced The Beatles concert at the Hollywood Bowl in 1964. The Beatles held a press conference before the show at this location.
