The speedway was host to both the California Jam (Cal Jam) I concert in 1974 and the California Jam (Cal Jam) II concert in 1978.
Cal Jam I featured Black Sabbath, Emerson Lake & Palmer, The Eagles, Deep Purple, Rare Earth and many more.
Cal Jam II featured Dave Mason, Santana, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Foreigner and others.
