The Sunset Marquis Hotel has been known as a hangout for rock musicians. It houses The Whisky Bar, a bar that became popular with such celebs as U2, Jeff Beck, UB40, the Black Crowes and Nirvana. The bar's walls are lined with photos of rock stars such as Alice Cooper and Tina Turner.

The hotel is also home to the Nightbird Recording Studio as well.
