If discretion, location and luxury is what a rock star needs, they usually find it at the Chateau Marmont. This is where Jim Morrison lived for a while and one drunken night here on the roof was depicted in the movie "The Doors". The bungalows away from the main building are favored for privacy and John Belushi died in one in 1982.

Built in 1929, the hotel has played host to such celebrity guests as Bob Dylan, John Lennon & Yoko Ono, Mick Jagger, Ringo Starr, Led Zeppelin, and the Jefferson Airplane.

John Frusciante, and Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers each lived here for a while in the 90's
