Jesse Belvin (Dec. 15, 1932 - Feb. 6, 1960) co-writer of one of the biggest hits of the 1950's - “Earth Angel". He also had a major hit with “Goodnight My Love,” a ballad adopted by disc jockey Alan Freed as the closing theme to his radio show, it was also used by Dick Clark as the closing theme for “American Bandstand” for several years.
