Though a novelty act born out of very womb of Club Lingiere they rocked the place in 1983.
Sadly, years go by and people lose touch.
If you remember Paul Dancer (Club Zero), Zackary (host with the most), Pleasant (entertainer/journalist extrordinare), Alan Sacks (big time director/writer/producer), Tex & the Horseheads (Linda Jones, Mike Mart, Smog, and a few not mentioned add to this.

Hey ..I used to go to the Lingerie in the early eighties and LOVED it.. I was a bartender at the Improv on Melrose at the time..and became friends with Spider who was playing with Chuck E Weiss and the god damned liars at the time..at The Central...how's he doing?

Been trying to remember the name of the band that played there during the week...huge, fabulous horn section..can you help me?

Yes I was a frequent visitor to the Club Lingerie, last time I was there Mad Marc Rude was at the door, a good friend,R.I.P. and I dated Spider Middleman saxophonist in the mid eighties, when he played with Top Jimmy and Chuck E Weiss. I wish I could get ahold of Dave Herman photographer, because he has several pics of Spider and I together at the Zero One Gallery run by John Pocohna.

I remember Pleasant , Tex Linda, and Mike Mart just to name a few.

Not many people speak about Spider Middleman, he was a wonderful man, and I loved him dearly, and always will. I moved to Nor Cal and lost touch with him around 1988, and I will never forget him, R.I.P.

I was a member of Blow-Up which played at the Lingerie many, many times. For much of that time, Spyder was our sax player and I have fond memories of him.

To me, the Lingerie will always represent the best of the '80s music scene in LA. The club itself was great with its cool atmosphere aided by bartenders like Dennis who knew all the regulars names.

I want to add a few other memories:
* How about Tori Amos singing background vocals in her friend Steve Cato's band on a weeknight?
* Great Buildings featuring Danny Wilde who went on to form the Rembrandts
